I look a bit stern here but at least the midsummer meadow is a nicer backdrop than our ugly old back fence. A brief recap on this top: it was based on this (the vest version) but I introduced some shaping, starting off with a wider welt and then steadily decreasing to make the upper part closer-fitting.
When it came to the armhole and neck shapings I had fewer stitches than the pattern so I reworked these, starting the front neck lower down for a more casual look. I finished with some simple garter stitch bands.
