This is the first sleeve of my Boreal sweater, worked on in those rare quiet moments over Christmas when I wasn’t troffing cheese, playing Cluedo or watching The Killing (not conducive to knitting) – but sadly this sleeve is now condemned to be ripped back to pre-colourwork stage because I’m dissatisfied with my efforts. Messy weaving of long floats giving a horrible puckered finish has upset my colourwork karma. Try as I might I just can’t find a neat way of doing it, so I’ll be resorting to leaving floats of (gasp!) up to eight stitches when I reknit this sleeve. Hopefully that will improve things.
To assuage the doom and gloom the condemned sleeve is accompanied by yet another lovely owl, also made by Katie (with a little help from grandma…)
